Adjara is one of the most ancient, beautiful and mysterious corners of Georgia. It’s situated in South-Western part of the country, along the Black Sea. Nor the change of the centuries neither the change of rulers couldn’t change the main attraction of Adjara – hospitality of its inhabitants, peacefulness and warmth of land’s spirit. They are sensitive to the history of their region, to its cultural and architectural monuments, and honor the traditions of their ancestors. Washed by the sea waves Adjara lies at the feet of the Lesser Caucasus. It’s due to this geographical location the regions possesses mild subtropical climate, great natural and recreational resources Which, in turn, influenced the fact that Adjara has so many resorts for relaxing and rejuvenation. So, today, this blessed soil combines both gifts of nature and places that are unique in terms of world's flora and fauna. Here, each and everyone can discover the wonderful, something that can enrich one’s inner world, broaden one’s horizons, unveil the secrets of this, in every sense, magical region.

 Among the many attractions and sightseeing sites of the Adjara’s capital – Batumi -  the Botanical Garden has earned both special love of local people and the genuine interest among the guests of Batumi. The area of 111 hectares is located on top of one of the most picturesque corners of the region – Green Cape. Collection of tree species consists of 2037 species. Only 104 of them are of Caucasian origin, the others are representatives of outlandish flora around the world. As for the sub-tropical shrubs and plants, there are about six thousand species, and they all wonderfully coexist with each other.

The legendary gardens of the Babylon served as an basis for Botanical Gardens architecture. Similarly to this world’s miracle it’s divided into tiers, sloping down from the hill to the waterfront. Foot the cape is covered with Mediterranean plants, and the upper part is divided into lanes, intricately winding among the plants of the Himalayan region.

There are places on Earth where you leave a part of your heart after visiting. There not a lot of them, but they are always small, cozy and sunny, perfect to feel easy, relaxed, peaceful there. Batumi is one of such cities – the heart of Adjara, the home the generous sun and the endless sea, exquisite sunsets and fabulous sunsets, the city of smiles, filled with aroma of black coffee and smoke of the freshly made barbecue, the fragrance of roses and tart smell of tangerines, a riot of subtropical colors during any season.

And, of course, we can not stop from telling you how wonderful night Batumi is! It is not just beautiful, it is divinely beautiful! Millions of small and large fires of all shades, palm and cypress trees, glowing sculptures – this all is so fantastic, that causes delight and awe in the soul of even the most experienced person.

Seaside Park of Culture and Rest, or, as he called by the locals – the Boulevard, produces a great deal of pride from the city inhabitants. It offers a variety of entertainments: musical fountains, a water park, a Ferris wheel, cozy cafes, different attractions, bamboo grove, zoo with peacocks and parrots of all kinds. For the citizens, the Boulevard, located across the coastal line of the city, has become a favorite holiday destination.

Batumi Seafront deserves specific words of admiration, offering spectacular views of the entire harbor up to the Green Cape. How fascinating it is to watch the flocks of dolphins frolicking off the coast, not being afraid of the city noise! No wonder a dolphin with a palm branch in an embrace has become the symbol of this amazing city, not like any other.

Today Batumi is a major tourist center with a variety of luxury hotels and restaurants, a developed infrastructure, preserving the unique Caucasian mentality, breathing out love and hospitality.
